Joan Allen’s major interest is watercolors, using color and line. She expresses art using a wet-on-wet technique. Using flowers as a subject she applies a wet-on-wet technique with splashes of color. She also paints animals and landscapes. Techniques are always emphasized. Most of Joan’s work involves mixed media—watercolor paints and ink. Workshop fee: $45, IHMAC Members $40.
