Art Classes at the IHMAC
ONGOING CLASSES:
Rick Bushnell with students in an Open Studio Workshop
BUSHNELL’S OPEN STUDIO WORKSHOPS
Open Studio is open to anyone who would like to work on an art project of their choice. Rick Bushnell provides guidance, suggestions and positive feedback as requested. Just bring something you wish to work on and Rick will work with you on whatever medium you choose (other than oils due to the clean-up required). Watercolor, pastels, drawing, ink or mixed media are fine. Acrylics permitted, if you make arrangements ahead of time.
Open Studio is the 2nd Monday of each month and runs from 9 am until noon. The cost is $20 for IHMAC members/$25 for non-members. Payment will be collected the day of the Open Studio. Cash or checks will be accepted. Checks can be made payable to IHMAC. For more information, email ihmacmuseum@gmail.com or call 620-331-3515 to secure a spot in class.
Rick Bushnell is a prolific artist as well as a retired art teacher from Chanute, Kansas. Bushnell’s teaching approach is one of positive feedback and encouragement. The camaraderie and helpful suggestions offered by other artists attending as well as those from the instructor are just two of the reasons IHMAC artists keep coming back for more.
