IHMAC is partnering with the Independence Public Library to bring the Smithsonian traveling exhibition Crossroads: Change in Rural America to Independence. Complementary local exhibits are being created that will tell the community's unique Crossroads story. Pubic programs that spark important conversations will enhance people’s understanding of life in rural Kansas. The Crossroads: Change in Rural America exhibition provides an opportunity for the people of Kansas to think about how their communities have responded and adapted to change.
